What is a tractor pull?
A Tractor Pull is a Motorsport Competition where competitors use modified tractors to pull a heavy weight transfer sled down the track. As the puller drives down the track the sled gets progressively harder to pull until it can no longer move at all. Whoever gets the furthest distance wins the class. Most tracks are approximately 250'-300' in length. There are many different divisions ranging from a 12HP stock kids garden tractor class, clear up to Multi engine modified farm tractors producing thousands of HP. Our club focuses on all Garden Tractor divisions from kids class to Modified Twin cylinder tractors producing 125HP+.

Do I need to own a tractor to participate or are they provided?
You will need to build/buy/own/borrow a tractor to participate.
-
How do I get into tractor pulling?
The best place to start is by attending an event as a spectator! It's free to do and will let you get a little bit more familiar with the different classes of tractors. Most pullers would be happy to show you their tractors, tell their story of how they got into pulling, and where they would recommend starting at. Every puller does it slightly different, and that's what makes it fun/competitive! The most important part is that you pick a class that's within your budget, and has good attendance numbers in your local area.
-
How much does it cost to enter a class and do I need a membership?
No membership is required! Kids classes are $5 per entry and adult classes are $10 per entry.
-
I don't see my class listed, will you make a class for me?
Our current class list was created to best fit the majority of tractors we have in our local area. Most tractors will fit into at least one of our classes. We will make a class for your specific tractor, however it will not qualify for payouts unless it has at least 5 tractors entered. If the class gets a consistent turnout throughout the season we will add it as a permeant class the following year.

-
What time do the pulls start, where are they located, and where can I find updates on them?
Each pull is different, check our schedule page for time and GPS address. We recommend coming at least 1HR before the event start time. The first class signup will close approximately 15min before the event start time, and the drivers meeting will be held right at start time. If there are any day of updates such as rain delay they will be posted on our Facebook page "SWPA Garden Tractor Pulling".
-
Are there food vendors at the pulls?
Yes! There will always be a food vendor at our pulls.

Is there a fee to get into the facility?
